I have created these patterns using acrylic paints and the same nail styluses I use for my dot art to replicate the technique of Pysanky in a new way. This is not the traditional form of Pysanky. Once the design is completed – the how wax is then melted off, revealing the full design. Pysanky is a traditional style of egg decorating from the Ukraine using hot wax bees wax applied to the egg in layers using a tool called a KISTKA and then dying the eggs.
